A lawyer accused of killing his wife and her friend was arrested Tuesday on charges that he sexually assaulted the victims, authorities said.
Karen Rittenhall, 52, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts first-degrees assault and two counts second-degree sexual assault, according to a press release from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
She was arrested on Monday in the suburb of Irving, about 45 miles east of Dallas.

Police have not named the victim, but said they believe she is a woman of color.
Rittenhouse was arrested after a man identified as his brother told police the woman had been in the home with him the night before, the police statement said.
He said she was the only one left in the house.
The statement said the brother was home with the woman the night of the attack and woke up to the sound of the woman crying, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
When he came outside, the brother saw a woman in a white shirt and black pants lying in the hallway.
The woman was covered in blood and the brother identified her as Karen Rissley, the statement said, the paper reported.
Rissley was arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail on charges of first degree murder, second degree assault and second-degreases sexual assault.
She remains jailed on $2 million bond.
